Monsters, Inc. (2001)
I watched Monsters, Inc. today.
It’s a masterpiece, and I really loved it.
Fear is energy.
Laughter is even more powerful.
But after watching it, I also felt some pressure — writing about a movie every day, especially in English, is not easy for me. Even writing one article a day in my native language, Chinese, would be a challenge.
OK. Today is day two. I did it.

Spirited Away (2001)
This is one of the greatest animated movies, and it is also the top-rated animated film on IMDb.
I watched the Chinese version years ago, and I’ve watched the English version a few times since then. The story is familiar to me, so I could follow the English audio even when it was just playing in the background. I understood most of it.
Today, I sat down to watch it again with English subtitles. I noticed many details that I hadn’t noticed before, even when I watched the Chinese version.
Maybe it took more time, but I noticed even more details. It feels good to watch carefully, to slow down, and to enjoy every little moment of the film.
